Katy joined RIF in 2017 and serves as Vice President of Programs, where she leads the strategy and implementation of RIF’s national programmatic work. With a strong focus on increasing reading motivation, frequency, and engagement, Katy works closely with her team to bring high-impact literacy initiatives to communities across the country—one community at a time. She is deeply committed to building local capacity among educators and partners, recognizing that sustainable change comes through empowering those closest to the children we serve.

In addition to overseeing program execution, Katy leads project management efforts across the organization to ensure seamless delivery of RIF’s corporate and grant-funded initiatives. She is a strong advocate for operational excellence and is dedicated to ensuring every dollar of support maximizes impact for the children and communities RIF reaches.

Throughout her tenure, Katy has strengthened RIF’s network of affiliates, community partners, program implementers, and volunteers—championing collaboration and capacity-building to drive long-term, collective impact in children’s literacy.

Before joining RIF, Katy served as Manager of The Teacher Community Program at PBS, where she supported K–12 education initiatives in key markets nationwide.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Saint Louis University, graduating summa cum laude.
