Take your child the library. Ask the librarian about the library's collections and services, specifically story hours for very young children. Make sure you find out what age a child must be to participate. Ask the librarian for a tour of the library and find out how to use its system for finding books. If you do not already have a library card, apply for one. Most libraries have toys and puzzles that babies can play with while their parents talk to the librarian. Be sure to take a break during the visit and take time to enjoy books with your little one.
