Marie-Agnes Daumas Appointed to Reading Is Fundamental's Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, September 17, 2009—Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF), the nation's oldest and largest children and families' literacy organization, appointed Marie-Agnes Daumas to its board of directors.

Marie-Agnes Daumas is U.S. Company marketing director for Collaborative Customer Events at Colgate-Palmolive. In this role, she develops and executes Shopper Marketing programs that are relevant to retail-customers and their shoppers. They tie to cause-marketing themes around Caring, Family and Community.

"Colgate-Palmolive has been a strong supporter of RIF since 2007, helping RIF provide hundreds of new book collections to children nationwide and helping families make bedtime fun and healthy," said Carol H. Rasco. "We are honored to have such a creative person as Daumas to help further RIF's mission."

Since joining Colgate-Palmolive in 1992, Daumas has worked and lived in four different countries where she led positions of increasing responsibility. She worked in Latin America for multiple Colgate-Palmolive brands, in France for a medium company and in Colgate Oral Care Global Business Development. She also led marketing efforts for U.S. Home Care and U.S. Oral Care. She served as chairwoman of "You Can Make A Difference"-Colgate Palmolive Chairman's Program that rewards exceptional Colgate people all over the world and at all levels who exhibit innovation, ingenuity and performance excellence.

Daumas is a former member of the French National Swimming Team. She was also a national champion in tennis and ski.
