URGENT: Act Locally Save RIF's Funding

Alert CongressRIF needs you to schedule visits to your congressional members’ local district offices the week of June 30. When you meet your representatives, ask them to save RIF in your community. For those of you with summer reading programs or year-round Head Start centers, this is a great time to invite members of Congress to visit your program.

Eligibility for Federal Funding Changing

As of October 1, 2008, only renewing RIF programs serving populations with 50 percent eligibility for Free and Reduced Price (F/RP) meals can receive federal funding. If you need assistance determining your program’s F/RP percentage, check out this resource guide, or contact your program support representative.
